Creating the interior CGI designs for Ashbrook was about far more than designing beautiful spaces, it was about capturing a lifestyle, an atmosphere, and a sense of home that prospective buyers could immediately connect with.
To bring the homes at Ashbrook to life, I partnered with Portholland to develop a series of internal CGI visuals alongside a fully interactive 360° virtual tour.
Right from the start, I wanted the interiors to feel contemporary but still comfortable and practical for everyday living. Every design decision was made with the future homeowner in mind, ensuring the spaces felt authentic, lived-in, and emotionally engaging rather than purely conceptual.
Where did the creative process start?
The process began with creating a range of moodboards to help shape the overall interior vision for Ashbrook. Each moodboard focused on a different room within the home, helping every space develop its own personality while still keeping a cohesive look and feel throughout the property.
A lot of the inspiration came from places like Pinterest, home and interior magazines, TikTok creators, and current interior design trends, alongside my own personal style influences. I spent time pulling together ideas from modern homes, lifestyle content, and contemporary interiors to build a clear direction for how I wanted the CGI designs to feel.
The moodboards explored everything from colour palettes and textures to lighting, furniture styling, artwork, materials, and layout ideas. Rather than designing around short-term trends, the focus was on creating interiors that felt timeless, welcoming, and realistic for modern living. Soft neutral tones were layered with warm earthy accents, natural wood textures, and contemporary details to create spaces that felt calm, stylish, and homely.
The kitchen and dining spaces were designed around open-plan living, combining warm textures and clean finishes to create rooms that work just as well for everyday family life as they do for entertaining. The living room concepts focused on comfort and relaxation, while the bedrooms introduced softer styling, layered textures, and ambient lighting to create a more boutique-inspired feel.
The bathrooms, hallway, and WC continued the same approach, using understated styling and natural finishes to tie everything together. Altogether, the moodboards became the foundation for the entire CGI process, helping communicate not only how the interiors should look, but how they should feel too.
Turning the Vision into CGI
Once the moodboards were finalised, they were shared with Portholland to start developing the Ashbrook internal CGI visuals. Using the styling direction, textures, colour palettes, and atmosphere established within the boards, the concepts were transformed into photorealistic CGI interiors that show how the homes could look once fully furnished and styled.
The CGI visuals were designed to do more than just showcase the interiors. They help buyers understand the layout, flow, and scale of each room while also giving a realistic sense of how the spaces could feel when lived in. Particular attention was given to natural lighting, styling details, and material finishes to ensure the visuals felt authentic and relatable.
Alongside the CGI images, Portholland also created a fully interactive 360° virtual tour. The walkthrough allows buyers to move through the home digitally, explore each room from different angles, and get a much better understanding of how the property flows as a whole. For anyone searching for a new-build home, tools like internal CGI visuals and virtual tours make it far easier to visualise the finished property long before construction is complete.
Ultimately, the aim behind the Ashbrook CGI interiors and virtual walkthrough was simple, to help buyers imagine what life could look like in their future home. While everyone will naturally bring their own style into the space, the CGI visuals provide inspiration and help turn floorplans into something much more real, immersive, and exciting.
If you’d like to explore the finished interiors for yourself, you can take a look through the Ashbrook internal CGI visuals and experience the homes through the interactive 360° virtual tour.
