The Local Area
Beeston is one of the most exciting neighbourhoods in Nottingham - itself a fast-growing city. Offering both a relaxed lifestyle and easy access to the bustle of a major city, Beeston represents a fantastic opportunity for both young professionals working in Nottingham and young families looking to settle in an exciting area filled with amenities
As a major town just outside of Nottingham, Beeston offers all of the benefits you’d expect from somewhere in such a good location. Offering modern amenities - including some of the best bars and restaurants - on top of great connectivity, excellent entertainment and an exceptional housing market, Beeston is a highly desirable location on the doorstep of one the most popular cities in the world.
As you’d imagine - being just minutes from the most central city in the UK - Beeston is exceptionally well-connected. Just 36 minutes from East Midlands Airport, Beeston also offers excellent access to the M1 motorway, Nottingham city centre via the NET tram system and nearby cities such as Derby and Leicester via the train station.
Educationally, Beeston has a huge number of primary and secondary schools nearby all rated between ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. For higher education, Nottingham is home to several major colleges alongside two highly-ranked universities - the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.
Availability through our Shared Ownership or Rent to Buy scheme means that whatever your reason for moving, this outstanding new development is ideal - whether you’re a first-time buyer, growing family or just want an affordable solution via shared ownership or Rent to Buy in Nottinghamshire.
If you’re looking for shared ownership homes in Nottinghamshire please register your interest for Trentside and we will contact you with further information.
Shared ownership is a fantastic opportunity if you’re unable to purchase on the open market. It allows you to buy a share in a property on a part-buy/part-rent basis and pay a subsidised rent on the share you do not own.
Over time, you can purchase more shares in the property via the staircasing process. This can be done at any time after initial purchase and reduces the amount of rent you pay.
We offer shares between 10% and 75% of the property value depending on the outcome of your affordability assessment. The higher the share you purchase, the lower the rent will be. You will need to be able to obtain a mortgage for the share you want to purchase unless you have sufficient funds to purchase outright. Deposit amounts will be lower than purchasing a property on the open market, while the combined cost of mortgage and subsidised rent is often cheaper than privately renting.
Rent to Buy (RTB) is a government scheme that allows individuals to rent a new home at a reduced rental amount while providing them with the opportunity to buy the home during that time - whether through Shared Ownership or via an outright sale.
This scheme is designed to ease the transition between renting and buying by subsidising a percentage of the rent. When they join the scheme a buyer rents a property at below market value for up to five years, allowing them to use the remaining amount to save for a deposit. After the end of the period, the renter either has to purchase or leave.
